Fire load exists in the building, and it is generally not the origin of fire occurred and spread, so attention has not been beloved paid although the fire size is closely related with it. It plays an important role in performance-based fireproof design, but the abroad data is used always, then which is not in accordance to the situation of our country. The article is based on national and international standards, and calculated the fire load theoretical maximum of the building to protect the building fire safety and can be referred by performance-based fireproof designer, so we can control the fire dangerous of the building, and then grasp the critical moment while the fire happened.

Fire load exists in the building, and it is generally not the origin of fire occurred and spread, so attention has not been beloved paid although the fire size is closely related with it. This paper addresses an issue rarely contemplated in the manage-ment of historical buildings, fire safety. Historical buildings are generally assessed within a framework of compliance when it comes to fire safety. There is an implication that "compliant" means "safe" and that the goals and objectives of compliance are perfectly aligned with those of fire safety. In the case of historical buildings this is a mistake that has resulted in the loss of major historical buildings through the centuries. This paper presents a new framework of analysis that uses adequate tools to evaluate and establish true performance assessment so that the goal of fire safety is well defined and implemented.

High-rise building fires have many characteristics, such as the diversity of blazing, factors, various ways of fires spreading, the difficulty of evacuation and saving activities etc. Thus in order to attain a partial event tree whose top event is the direct fire hazard loss, the comprehensive analysis of the factors that can cause high-rise building fires is needed. Establishing high-rise building fire safety system and countermeasure begins from "man-machine-environment" , that is to say technology (hardware) and management (software) which highlight the effect of guiding and coordination of management to technology, with management as outlines and technology as method: establishing and improving the save system, strengthening "Three Simultaneous", enhancing safety management of the related personnel and cultivating the sense of safety, sounding the fire precautionary emergency program. The study aims at solving fire protection of high-rise building and providing some practical value to the design of high-rise building, assessment of fire safety and establishment of precautionary emergency program.

The preventive and repressive model of ensuring safety is first described as a theoretical basis. Subsequently, an analysis of fire protection measures is defined, describing specific preventive and repressive fire protection measures. Based on these measures, individual phases of fire protection activities are described, followed by a description of proactive fire protection measures. The article's result is the proposal and application of fire prevention measures. These measures are proposed for a soft target - a shopping centre.

Fire design of structures is an important factor for public safety and the design of buildings, as building-fires cause enormous losses. In recent years fire safety engineering has developed into a new discipline integrating all aspects of fire safety (structural, technical, organisational) into the design of buildings. With regard to structural fire design, in addition to good construction practice, safe and easily applicable design methods are needed both for structural members and global structures subjected to fire. This paper gives an introduction into fire action, fire safety concepts, structural fire design as well as recent developments and the main trends in fire safety engineering.
